Liquids to drink for a Healthy Weight Loss

Hey guys!

I stress the importance of water a lot usually. However, it is okay to drink water in other forms as long as they are healthy methods. In your healthy lifestyle you should be including healthy drinks for sure. This post should be useful to a lot of you. Especially if you aren't a great fan of water, which I wouldn't understand hah since I love it.

Drink honey in warm water - it works wonders if you do this everyday!!
You could also start your day with a fruit smoothie! Its a solid lining and will make sure that you don't get hungry before lunch time.

Ginger and lemon Detox tea- throw all those expensive detox teas away. It's as simple as 3 key ingredients - honey, lemon and ginger. All 3 of these are known for their great cleaning properties and it is very easy to make. However if you would like to see how I've uploaded a clip on Instagram! @undercovermathu 

All you need to do is boil water, add ginger and one spoon of honey.

Do not drink this tea in the morning on an empty stomach!! I have bad experience with this. I already have ulcers in my stomach lining and the ginger is very strong and made it burn like hell!! I ended up throwing up throughout the day.
Either have it after or during your breakfast. However I would recommend you drinking this in the evening or at night just before going to bed.

Throughout the day drink Green Tea whenever you feel like having a small snack break or while you're sitting in front of the tv or computer. Green tea has also got many amazing benefits for your skin!!

Aspirin Face Mask for Acne, Pimples, Uneven Skintone or Blemishes

Hey guys!

After my last acne scars treatment video I received a lot of messages asking for tips to get ride of pimples. I would highly recommend this mask in emergencies but I must say its not to be used daily or more than once a week even! This is really only meant for emergencies or minor breakouts.

If you have oily skin you can use this mask once a week, whereas if you have dry or combination skin only use it once a month and you'll still see amazing results after a continuous monthly use. If you do have sensitive skin please do not use it!

You need:
2 aspirin tablets
1 egg white - if you are allergic to egg white you can use honey too!
toilet tissue

Aspirin has great anti-inflammatory properties and so it's useful for blemishes, redness, acne and uneven skintone.

Egg white - helps control the secretion of excess sebum, tightens your pores for a firmer feel

My Dream Job and Vision for my Life

Hey guys!

We all have dreams. Somewhere where we see ourselves in a certain number of years. I am a very future focused person. I like to set a big goal and work towards it. I'm not too sure what the purpose of life is but I try to create myself a purpose in it. Something that will give it meaning. For all I know one day I would like to look back and say "look all the time you've been working has paid off." I want to make some sort of change, whether big or small. I just always look for things to do in my extra time.
So what would be my dream job? Well I have this vision of myself....

If not NYC then London or Berlin or may Colombo. I don't mind anywhere in the world. I would like to a career focused woman working on something big or life changing. One might say stop looking for a purpose in life and just live life. Well to that I would like to say that personally I would rather spend my time working on something that makes me happy and gives me a feeling of achievement rather than following a routine, doing the same thing everyday and just living life because you have to.
So what kind of job am I thinking? Well as I am currently completing a degree in Chemistry I would love to start off in that field. However, I would like to then take this further to other things. Maybe banking or even Event Management. I would love to organise a wedding one day for someone and help them on their big day. I have always had a feeling of achievement when doing something for someone else and seeing their happy faces. Organising things is my other big interest. I just love organising things, whatever it is - your wedding, baby shower, bacherlorette party....whatever it is I am the girl to contact. I would do it with great joy.
My point is I am young, not even 20 yet and I have my whole life ahead of me. I may not have an exact job in mind but I do know how I want to be as a person - independent, organised, happy, creative and most importantly I want to be able to work on something.
Will I be blogging? Of course I will always continue, at this rate even into my 80s if I get to live that long.
This was a small insight of my many thoughts that I wanted to share with you guys. What do you think about life? Where would you like to be? What would you like to achieve? Share your thoughts with me I would love to read them!

Egg Peel Off Mask for Acne Scars, Tighter pores and removal of Blackheads

 Today I'd like to introduce you to an egg peel off mask that you can make at home! Watch me do it!
You need:
Half a lemon
One egg white
a bit of toilet paper

As seen on the video squeeze out the lemon juice, mix it with egg white. If you are allergic to any of the products please do not attempt to use this mask. Test the mask first on your arm. If you experience an allergic reaction please do not continue.

Cut the toilet paper pieces into the right sizes suited to your face!
Please do not put the mask on any hair areas that you don't want to be removed such as eyebrows and hairline - as this mask also works great to remove hair.
For best results, only peel off the mask slowly after it is completely dry and is hard.

This mask is amazing. As soon as I took it off I could tell that my pores were tighter. My skin felt stiffly pulled together. The lemon juice will help to leave your face look bright and polished afterwards. When wearing this mask my face started itching in some places - don't worry that's not a bad sign.

Holiday Vibes// How I'm spending my Summer

Hey guys!

After a long adventurous summer in 2015 - Europe Roadtrip, trip to Sri Lanka etc. it was time for a more calm summer holiday. I haven't written a post for you guys in a really long time just stating what I'm really up to. So currently I am in Germany still. I have spent the last 2 weeks just really relaxing meeting my childhood friends and just exploring my hometown seeing what changed - well not much has changed really. 

Just relaxing made me realise how long its been since I've had a break like this. I felt endless tiredness for a whole week. Now that I am back and fit, I have started getting back into a routine. I don't want to just rot around all summer haha. So I decided to find myself a job in Germany. I am currently working as a waitress and am also trying to stay healthy. I have started training at home and I go on regular jogs with my friends as you may have already seen on snapchat! (Snapchat: mathusas) 

So currently I am saving money, exploring new cities and just soaking in as much sun as possible. As well as that I have started with youtube again!
As always I am staying as busy as possible! Being in Germany means it's flexible for me to visit the neighbouring countries so stay tuned!

Personality of July - Dancer Trin3ergykrrish

Hey guys!

It's undercoverchick...It's time to introduce you to the Personality of July. This month's personality of the month is Krrishna Sivakumaran also known by his dancer name trin3rgykrrish I do personally know him as we study the same course at the same university. However, there is no personal bias as you will soon realise that he is known for his amazing dancing skills among a lot of people.  Krrishna is a 21 year old student who studies Chemistry at the University of Kent. He moved from France to the UK at the age of 3. He has done a guest performance for 'Gaana dance battles' at the Ministry of Sound (UK) and at 'Beat your Heart' in Switzerland. Not only does he perform at events nationally but he also performs on an international level. After performing during London Paralympics 2012 he was asked to go to Brazil (Rio de Generio) and through dance to help promote the transition from London 2012 Olympics to Rio 2016 Olympics. He has also done a guest performance for 'Dance proms' at the Royal Albert Hal in London. Well if you aren't impressed enough yet continue reading my interview with him below! After all this recognition from various people I must add that he is very humble in person. I didn't even know that he can dance until I came across his Instagram profile.

 At what age did you start dancing? How did you discover your skill?

I started dancing at the age of 10, more than discovering a skill it was discovering something I really enjoyed doing. It was only after a few years my parents discovered it was skill that I had developed to a decent standard.

Did you ever take any dance classes? If yes which and who introduced you or gave you the idea?
No I had never taken dance classes as again it wasn'r something I would take further. It was simply something I did whenever I saw maybe a Prabhudeva  or Micheal jackson song as a kid 

How did your peers feel about you dancing?
I am fortunate enough to always have very supportive friends who were always encouraging.

Your name as a dancer is - "trin3ergykrrish" - How did you come up with it, has it got a specific meaning to you?
I do wish the name had some secret underlying message but it came from my dance crew Trin3rgy and was simply an instagram name. But slowly became a name that I was referred to whenever I performed so I chose to keep it. 

Where would you like to be in 5 years time?
Hopefully have finished my degree in Chemistry and be comfortably working. Just the same old boring expectation.

I assume your routine involves - Rehearsing, filming dance clips, travel and more. How do you keep a balance between your personal life as a student and professional life?
It's something that I've sometimes struggled with in the past and learnt lessons from it. Those lessons in turn allowed me to work out that balance between dancing, performing and my degree.

What was it like taking part in Britain's Got Talent? How did it help your development as a dancer?
It was an eye opener to the way the TV business works and how they themselves try and mould each act if they see potential in it. Whether it was a good moulding I'm not sure, but getting a standing ovation and getting very encouraging comments from the judges including Mr Simon Cowell, was probably one of those highlights that allowed me to flourish as a dancer. The TV business also were able to highlight personal attributes which helped me in particular take that forward and develop my own style in dance.

Would you say that dancing has changed your life? If so, how?
It's a change that is ever so slight. But I've had amazing opportunities to perform on various platforms in many parts of the world and meet truly inspirational people face to face. It's one of those things that I always feel I never deserve but I take it as a blessing whenever it happens.

Would you like to take up dancing on a more professional level after completing your education or is it more of a hobby?

I think dance for me has always been a hobby, I've never wanted to take it further, but the opportunities I've taken as they've come. Education and work is the expected target and goal, but dance will be something I look back and be thankful to for the love and the experience.

Weekly 2 Minute Tip - Fenugreek seeds!

Hey guys!
On my youtube channel (UndercoverChick) I introduced a new series called the "Weekly 2 minute tip". The title is pretty self explanatory. Watch the video!

Apart from being an amazing face mask for acne scars and eczema, Fenugreek seeds also known as Methi seeds in India, have many other internal uses.

- upset stomach
- constipation
- gastritis (inflammation of the stomach)
- diabetes
- lower cholesterol

I tend to have severe gastritis during stressful exam seasons. I have taken medicine prescribed from the doctors in the past and I would be on a 30 day omaprezole dosage. However, this year I ingested fenugreek seeds that soaked in water over night every morning for about 2 weeks and my gastritis disappeared! For a student who has to pay for medicine this was a great cheap and better alternative.

How to use it - Every night leave a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds to soak in water over night, they will expand and become soft. In the morning swallow them before breakfast.

Meal Ideas for a Healthy Lifestyle and Weight Loss

Following my recent post about my weight loss which you can read here many of you asked me whether I could be more specific about my healthy eating. So I decided to take pictures of some of my tastiest and healthiest meals for you over the last few you weeks. Most of these meals I ate during exam season. These meals are not extremely healthy or nothing like you expect - my healthy eating was meant to be food that was meant to still fill my belly. I don't like restricting myself on food as this will lead to cravings of specific foods which are unhealthy. So don't diet just eat healthy. Don't restrict yourself because that leads to rebound. I hope this gives you an idea and maybe if this helps you I may post more meal ideas soon. 

Breakfast Ideas

    Chia Seeds topped with fruits pudding  
    I leave some chia seeds to soak in almond or coconut milk early morning for an hour or sometimes     even over night. They are filled with nutrients and are great at soaking up water. I top this with a         banana, raspberries and blueberries.  

    Cooked oats with fruits
Oats help me get through the day till lunch without feeling hungry. I top my cooked oats with fruits and sometimes sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar over it and top it with fruits. 

Lunch Ideas

 - any steamed vegetables - I tend to love broccoli
- grated carrots
- small portion of rice
- mushroom gravy sauce
- one chicken breast
- peppers
 This is a very filling meal and allows me to eat something light for dinner.

Egg Stuffed Sweet Potatoes with Avocado

   I found this simple and easy recipe. It only takes 10-15 minutes to make and is so filling and        yummy! 

    Simple Poached Egg Avocado Toast

    Grilled salmon, cooked rice in coconut milk (very tasty!) with tomatoes, spinach and Greek feta cheese

 Cooked potatoes with spinach and fish fingers. Simple but delicious filling meal.

Pasta coated in pesto with cooked prawns and Greek feta cheese

   Oatmeal Bites

I try not to snack much but if do start feeling hungry then I make these healthy oatmeal banana and raisin bites. They are sooo yummy and very easy to make. They are one of the first ever things I blogged about. 3 years ago I blogged about them! Here's the recipe:
