London Fashion Week | Bloggers Hangout

Hey guys!

It has been a pretty busy week for me. Last weekend I traveled back to London to attend a series of blogger events. The hectic as always London was even busier with London Fashion Week events happening all over the city. The city was blooming with lovely celebrities, bloggers and people with a great fashion sense. On Monday was the Blogger Hangout at the Provision Studios. I met representatives from a series of lovely brands mainly food and beverage companies but there were beauty companies as well. It was a great opportunity to meet other fellow bloggers and to just mingle with people. The Blogger Hangout was well organised. I got to try Pic's peanut butter and I was impressed by the smooth peanut butter and I am definitely going to try buy one of these jars. I loved the fact that it was not so oily and greasy compared to other peanut butter which I really liked. I am really looking forward to attend more bloggers hangout events in the future. This was the first opportunity for me to meet other bloggers.

It was lovely meeting the guys from Cocktail Mania I was so attracted by the different colours of the drinks and it tastes just as good as it tastes.
Wooo look which student got really excited about Cranberry cider?! A lot of people use cranberry       juice as a common mixer with spirits so I was really excited to try this and I was very impressed.

I am not a big fan of raw fish but I was surprised that there was even fish in there since I only read     after eating it that there was fish in it haha oops. Well so now I don't mind raw fish and I might            give sushi a go one day. So thank you to the guys from The Hawaiian Fish co.

MY FIRST EVER - Blood Donation!

Hey guys!!

Guess whaaaat - today I had my first ever blood donation. I was looking forward to doing this for several months now. Believe it or not the appointments for blood donations get booked out really quickly and I had to book an appointment 3 months ago for April! Luckily for me someone cancelled their appointment and a new appointment slot to donate today was free.

Why Donate?
The real question is, why not? You aren't really losing out on anything! The blood you donate gets replaced by your body anyways. Donating money may be financially not always possible for me but as I know that I'm fit, healthy enough to donate and I am not scared of blood or needles so there's no valid reason why I wouldn't want to help someone who may need my blood. Also donating blood requires you to drink lots of water and everyone knows that I love water haha so why not. After all if anything happened to me and I needed blood I would accept someone else's blood. So why not give - if I would take? I am not trying to sell this to you but I just want you guys to see the kind of thought processes I had before donating blood. :)

What happens?
Well the whole process took about one hour. However, the actual blood donation process only took about 6 minutes for me. It depends on how quickly your blood flows out really. It can last somewhere between 5-15 minutes. In my opinion it was not painful at all. Yes it does sting for a second when the needle is inserted into your skin but I find the pain of getting a piercing worse. Before you donate blood you will have to fill in a form about your medical and travel history as these may affect whether you are entitled to donate. If you have recently travelled check online on there website whether you can donate yet. For example I travelled to Sri Lanka last summer so I was not suitable to donate for 4 weeks. They also check your hemoglobin to see whether you have enough Iron in your blood. The nurses talk you through everything and are really nice.

How do you feel afterwards?
I donated a few hours ago and here I am continuing my life normally and writing a blog post. To answer your question - I feel fine. You feel a bit light headed after donating blood but it does not last too long. I ate and drank plenty of water before and after.

For me it was an exciting experience and I will definitely donate regularly from now. I will be donating in 4 months again as you can donate every 4 months. I hope this post gave you a rough idea about what happens. If you have any questions feel free to message me. :)
If you are interested and live in the UK check out the blood donation website for more information -

To all the Single Ladies - Valentine's Day special

Hey guys!

This post is dedicated to all you beautiful single ladies out there. :') How do a bunch of single girls spend Valentines day together?? Well it wouldn't be a good day if there's no ice cream, pizza, lots of chocolate and any other high in fat and carbs food. Anyhow did you notice what I missed out? Yes? I'm proud of you! You need a good chick flick girls. If you got a bit of too much time on your hands or are like me and would always make time for chick flicks, you could get through quite a few movies. I spent the last whole of last week watching movies, these are my favourites and I really think you should watch them.

Happy Pancake Day!

Hey guys!

Pancankes were the first ever thing I cooked and to this day I still remember the recipe I got provided with by my primary school teacher.
(American pancakes)
As the queen of pancakes I would like to officially share my pancake recipes with you guys haha. Ever since I got to university I have been making a lot of pancakes for my friends and I love it.

The difference between American and English Pancakes? American Pncakes are fluffier and much thicker.

American Pancakes

  • 135g self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 130 ml milk
  • 1 large/2 small eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
Serves 4-5 people
Bananas/Berries, Whipped Cream, Honey or Maple Syrup
Nutella between the layers

I have topped mine with bananas, cinnamon and honey with Nutella spread between the layers!

  1. Whisk the eggs, butter, milk and sugar together
  2. add the dry ingredients to the mix: flour, salt, baking powder
  3. Et voila, you are done! Coat the pan with a thin layer of oil. Using a ladle put one scoop into the pan making a small circle. Turn over the pancake after you see bubbles emerging at the top.

English Pancakes
  • 280g self-raising flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 large/ 2 small eggs
  • 450ml milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup butter

  1. Whisk the eggs, milk, and sugar together
  2. Melt the butter over low heat on a pan and add it to the mixture
  3. Finally, add the flour to the mixture and mix well together.
  4. Heat the pan, add a thin layer of the mixture. Turn over roughly after a minute.
Et voila, you got your English pancakes!

I coated the inside of my pancakes with Nutella and then rolled them up.
Happy Pancake Day!!

My Blogging Tips!

Hey guys!

Was it your new years resolution to start a blog? Or you have always wanted to but did not get quite the chance to? Recently I have been getting a lot of emails, texts and tweets from you guys. asking me for tips. So I thought it is time I put together a few tips and tricks for you. Blogging is very flexible and you can do things your own way which is the beauty of it. However, some things are just the basics that may help you forward. It took me a while to realise some things but I learn as I go along since everything is self taught.

Blog Name

The blog name is for some the hardest thing to come up with. You can literally choose anything you want. The main thing you need to remember is that this name will stick with you for a very long time and everyone will remember your blog or associate you with this name. When I chose my blog name, I wanted to make it as unique as possible. I haven't told you guys why I chose 'UndercoverChick' as my blog name but you will soon find out. Nowadays a lot of my friends call me UndercoverChick or just associate this name with me which I was fully prepared for and I totally like the fact that the name has caught on so well. So make sure that it is as catchy as possible! Avoid making the name too long. Make sure that it is something that is not too difficult to spell.

A lot of you are worried about designing your blog. It is not as hard it seems. If 11 year old me found the answers to everything in books and google then you can definitely do it too and well if you are 11 and thinking about starting a blog, just do it! You won't regret it. No matter how silly your design seems to you, you will improve over time. There are a lot of aspects to this and I could write a whole separate series about this but briefly - use to edit your pictures. To this day I use that website to create my headers. Yes the one up there has been made by me. Try not to put too much colour on your blog. Want an example of too much colour? Check out the blog 11 year old me made -

There are talented people out there making custom blog designs. I didn't want to pay for a design just yet since I am quite happy with what I have created so far. However, maybe in the future I may buy a design.

You may wonder whether you need your own domain. When seeting up a blog through a blogging platform such as blogger your domain will be in the format of ''. Buying your own domain means that you will no longer have blogspot in your name and therefore it shortens your link. I don't think that it is necessary to get your own domain as soon as you set up your blog. If this is you part-time hobby and you have just started I would wait until you have had your blog for a while and it is all set up. Usually it is cheaper to buy your own domain in packages of 2/3 years meaning you will be paying quite a bit of money but it will overall be cheaper. If you decided however that after a year that you are no longer interested in blogging your money will be wasted. I did not have my own domailn until after 3/4 years of blogging.

Blog Photography
Believe it or not the pictures on your blog are the most important thing when it comes to the blog posts. It has been proven that blog posts with pictures have more views. Make sure they're all the same size.

Social Networks
To get a good amount of readers it would be best if you signed up on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Engage with other bloggers and take part in blogger chats. Use reasonable hashtags on Instagram where people can find you on. Follow other bloggers and always leave a link to your blog anywhere you post. Visit other blogs.

There are so many types of bloggers out there - lifestyle, travel, beauty, fashion and many many more. Of course you don't have to stick to a type of content you post. If you are like me and have many interests and post about many things you take part in/come across in your life you could just fit into the lifestyle blogger category. Lifestyle bloggers literally cover almost everything. After blogging for a while you will notice that you will always have these random blog post ideas while doing the most random things such as cooking or while sitting on a train. Carry a small notepad around with you and write them down whenever you remember or make a note on your phone.

I hope this blog post will help you guys! There is a lot more to blogging and if you are interested in more please do let me know in the comments below or if you have any questions feel free to get in touch with me.

Chapter 19

Hey guys!
3 weeks ago a new chapter in my life began, It's somehow tradition for me to be so late that I always upload my birthday pictures/posts/vlogs in February when my actual birthday is in January. Oh well, like I always say - better late than never aye?
Luckily, my birthday is not during University term time so I get to spend it at home in London with my family and friends there. I went for a dinner and cocktails night with the girls. There was two parts to the night. We first went to Carluccio's a well known Italian restaurant in South Kensington to have dinner. It was good catching up with the girls since this is our first year in University so we had a lot to talk about and catch up on. We then went to Buddha Bar which is also in Chelsea. It is a beautiful, oriental themed restaurant with a bar. Although, everyone there was quite posh and we almost felt out of place, as we sometimes like to remember that we are students on a budget. It was a lovely evening with my friends.
As soon as I got back to University, I wanted to take advantage of the fact that everyone would be up for partying after being away for 4 weeks. But then again when are students not up for partying? {...says the the girl sitting in front a laptop typing up a blog post on a Friday evening...}
Here are some pictures from the two nights!
